Vijaya Beach Park, Alappuzha

An awe-inspiring destination of God’s own country lies one of the most fascinating beaches of Kerala “the Alappuzha beach” with Ernakulum to its north and Kollam to its south to its south.

In its south, Alappuzha is located in the middle of Kottayam and Pathanamthitta in the east. An old lighthouse situated close to it is another fascination for travelers.

Located on the southern side of Alappuzha beach, this beautiful park is a favourite hangout for the locals. Apart from its rich greenery, the park also has many facilities.

The park is usually open between 3 pm and 8 pm. For children there is no fee for entry and for adults it’s a meager 2 Rs. Other than that, boating will cost you Rs.10. For a 10-minute ride. You need to pay 25 Rs. To carry your handy cam and 5 Rs. For the camera.

For instance, the park has a separate section for tiny children that includes swings and slides. The park also has toy trains. In the evening, many cultural events take place. A boating facility is also available within this park. All in all, this place is a perfect destination to spend a weekend afternoon.

How to reach: It is located about 5 km from the beach at the Alappuzha Railway station. The nearest airport is 85 km from the Alappuzha beach.

Best time to go: Between November and June.
