You can also find many doctors trained in the western system of medicine who have also acquired naturopathy degrees so as to provide the usefulness of this traditional system in the modern techniques.

The Indian method of naturopathy as compared to the western system is similar in many ways, particularly in their emphasis of strict vegetarianism and yoga while treatment.

In India, there are two types of degrees awarded to the students, undergoing courses in Naturopathy. The first are graduates of All India Naturopathy Council and are awarded DNYS (Diploma in Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences) after 3 years of guided study and internship.
