Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is situated in Shamshabad, which is about 24 kilometers (15 mi) south of Hyderabad. It was inaugurated on 23 March 2008 to replace Begumpet Airport to serve as both the domestic and international airport for Hyderabad.

Hyderabad Airport Terminal consists of a single building for both Domestic and International flights. The western side hosts international flights while the eastern host domestic flights.

RGIA has an annual capacity of over 60 million passengers. Around 36.88 million passengers passed through it in 2013. 

The airport has won the second-best service quality award in the 5-15 MPPA categories in 2018. RGIA in 2013 completed its second phase of modification of the terminal building.
